Jim Stengel Company

Refocusing a personal brand through a refined identity, elevated platform, and cohesive positioning.

Jim Stengel asked Hyperquake for help reflecting a personal shift in focus.
Known as the former Global Marketing Officer for Procter & Gamble and most recently known for his consultancy, Jim sought a new look that reflected his current priorities in life– thought leadership, mentorship, and developing the next generation of leaders.

Jim approached us with a clear goal: to create a brand that would, above all, evoke joy. After getting to know him and exploring his remarkable career as a global marketing leader, we crafted a brand that embodies his legacy with intentionality and purpose all with a strong sense of joy. From pulling cues from editorial aesthetics as a nod to Jim's roots in journalism, all the way to weaving in Jim's favorite color, the brand is an honest representation of all that makes Jim a trailblazer to this day.
Part of this brand transformation required a shift in positioning, reframing Jim from the CEO of a corporate consultancy to a modern day marketing thought leader. Everything from his website to LinkedIn profile was refreshed to reflect his broader reach of influence.
To infuse Jim's essence in the brand, we approached the design from a photo-first visual identity. Hyperquake organized a "day in the life" photoshoot at Jim's home in California to reflect his authentic lifestyle, captured by photographer, Aaron Wojack.
As part of the rebrand, his podcast, The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel, was also given a new look. It reflects the energy and openness that each podcast episode features. On the podcast, Jim engages in intimate conversations with global marketing leaders about the evolving role of the CMO. The new playful and energetic design reflects the vibrant spirit the brand has always embodied, bringing it to life in a fresh and engaging way.
Building on this visual brand identity, Hyperquake designed and developed a website that tells the story of his legacy, from his transformative years at Procter & Gamble to his impact through leadership development.

Every element of the website, from layout to interaction, was thoughtfully crafted to reflect Jim's personal brand. With warmth and curated storytelling, the new jimstengel.com breathes life to his new visual identity and ensures a cohesive brand presence across both print and web.
